Before I can speak intelligently about the services that might be appropriate for you and your family, I need to get to know you. And, before you can feel comfortable sharing your goals and dreams, you need to get to know me.

Darby has been involved with investment sales and portfolio management for over 20 years. He has been an investment specialist with Northwestern Mutual (NM) for over seven years. Prior to joining NM, Darby worked for Credit Suisse in New York for six years and then moved to Prudential Financial in Los Angeles and San Francisco for an additional six years before moving back to Boise. During his time with Credit Suisse and Prudential Financial as an institutional equity salesman, Darby worked closely with several of the top portfolio managers and analysts with many of the most successful fund families in the U.S. Specifically, he covered American Funds, Janus Investments, Morgan Stanley Asset Management, AIM, Invesco, TCW, Deutsche Asset Management, and The Boston Company.

Darby returned to Boise with his family to take advantage of the opportunity to help NM grow its investment business. Darby works closely with business owners and individual investors to help them identify opportunities. His unique background and strong historical perspective with the market give him the diversification to help clients mitigate risk and achieve their goals.

Through proper education for business owners and their employees, Darby is able to implement and maintain retirement plans for companies to help individuals achieve their goals of saving for retirement. Darby has earned the CRPS designation (Certified Retirement Plan Specialist). His approach to developing a successful retirement plan is driven by a simple five step process.
